2019 Mission La Purisima

 

On March 30th, 2019 members of the camera club traveled to Mission La Purisima near Lompoc, CA. They were hosting their Mountain Man Campout over the weekend. We arrived around 9AM, but the sun was already very bright and contrasty. The mountain men were all wearing large brimmed hats that cast deep shadows on their faces, making exposures difficult.

Front entry to the small chapel in the administration building. The snake pattern doors are interesting as well the iron lock assembly on the oustide of the door which is secured from the inside. Weird?
